Four Russian citizens were charged with cybercrimes in the United States in the case of Russian businessman Vladislav Klyushin, who is accused of trafficking in classified information. This was announced by the prosecutor of the American state of Massachusetts Nathaniel Mendell, reports TASS.

“Another four Russian citizens have been charged today in Boston in connection with their participation in global hacker machinations in the field of exchange trading,” the prosecutor said. According to him, the defendants are suspected of trading in securities and stealing information.

On December 18, it became known that Klyushin was extradited from Switzerland to the United States. In response to the move, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Russia was deeply disappointed with the decision taken by the Swiss Federal Criminal Court. She noted that the Russian embassy is in contact with the entrepreneur's lawyers.

Klyushin was arrested in the canton of Wallis at the end of March 2021 and taken into custody pending an extradition order. According to the US, the businessman and his accomplices received tens of millions of dollars in exchange for classified information.
