In the United States canceled the launch of the carrier rocket company Astra in Alaska

The launch of the carrier rocket of the American company Astra, which was supposed to take place on Friday, August 27, from the site of the Pacific space complex on Kodiak Island (Alaska) was canceled a few seconds before the launch. According to the company's website, the launch was postponed due to ignition problems.

“We need to deal with the ignition misfire and try again tomorrow,” said the live broadcast of the launch.

The company promised to announce the new launch time later. It is noted that the start should take place no later than September 11. The rocket, under the Astra contract with the US Space Forces, was supposed to deliver a test cargo into orbit.

It is worth noting that the launch vehicle, which is about 12 meters long, developed by the company, is designed to launch small satellites into low-earth orbit. Last year, Astra made two test launches of its rocket, but in both cases they ended in failure: they fell and exploded after a short flight.
