VKontakte is expanding the Pets service: with it you can create passports for your pets, monitor their vaccination schedule and take medications. Now users can not only take care of their pets, but also donate funds to charity funds.

In the new version of the Pets service, it is easy to help both homeless and wild animals that also need support. You can send a donation via VK Pay to one of the charitable organizations, including WWF Russia, the Nika charity fund for helping homeless animals, the Vernost animal rehabilitation center, the Helping hand for homeless animals fund, and the RAY fund for helping homeless animals. Regular donations are also available in the service: you just need to indicate the amount that the funds will receive every month.

Anton Tsivarev, director of development for VKontakte superapplication, owner of the cute beagle Seifer:

“We created Pets to make it easier for users to take care of their four-legged friends: for example, remember when a visit is made to the vet and when it's time to get vaccinated. But help is also needed for animals that for various reasons were left without owners or live in the wild. We could not ignore them. In the future, the list of organizations to which funds can be transferred will expand. “

Also in the new version of “Pets” it is easy to combine business with pleasure: you can add more photos to your pet's passport to discuss them with your friends. You can share the best moments on your page or in stories – loved ones will definitely appreciate it.

Mitina Vera Konstantinovna, President of the Nika Charitable Foundation for Helping Homeless Animals:

“We believe that every animal has a right to life and can find its real home. Service “Pets” enhances the culture of keeping pets: it is a huge source of useful information for their owners.

We are glad that the creators of the service have not forgotten about those who, for various reasons, are not yet at home. The opportunity to support the wards of our foundation is another day of well-fed life for hundreds of homeless dogs and cats. “

VKontakte introduced the Pets service in May. It makes it easier to keep all the most important information about pets close at hand and learn more about caring for them. The service is also useful for those who are just planning to have a pet: it contains links to resources that will help you find a new friend, including platforms for finding animals in shelters.
