They also said that those against whom sexual violence was committed “are not 100% worried.”
The Archbishop (ROC) of Syktyvkar and Komi-Ziryansky Pitirim said that rape victims can go to hell if they do not forgive their attackers.
This is evidenced by an excerpt from a video recording of a conversation between two Russian clergy, published on the Web.
At the same time, Pitirim emphasized that the criminal, after repentance, can go to heaven.
“The man was raped. What will happen to him? Punishment – they killed the maniac there, put him in jail. And what about that person? He does not forgive. He must be incubated inside. At the same time, this category of people is not 100% worried , “said the representative ROC.
He clarified that those against whom violence was committed “because of easy behavior” or “being in a drug or drunk state” supposedly have completely different experiences.
“The prudent robber, who realized his sin, went to heaven. But those punished by him can go to hell with their unforgiveness. What is the difference – the repentant does no more and goes the way of perfection, correction, virtue. But the unrepentant, unfortunately, even before that events and useless suffering, unfortunately, can go to hell,” the archbishop said.
Recall that in early February, a priest of the Russian Orthodox Church arrived in the occupied territory of Ukraine, where he called on Russian soldiers to kill Ukrainian children and women.
