Russian infidels kidnapped the mayor of Berislav Alexander Shapovalov in the Kherson region.
As the head of the Kherson OVA, Gennadiy Laguta, in his Telegram channel, in addition to the mayor of the city, another local activist was abducted.
– On Saturday, March 19, at about 11 o'clock in the afternoon, rashists abducted the mayor of Berislav Oleksandr Shapovalov and another local activist,” Gennadiy Laguta wrote.
He added that the kidnapped Ukrainians were in captivity, and yesterday Oleksandr Shapovalov was given the opportunity to call his relatives and reassure them.
The head of the Kherson Regional Police Department said that the mayor of Berislav is experiencing heart problems, and also suffered a severe illness from the coronavirus.
The exact location of Shapovalov and other prisoners is not yet known, however, most likely they are in Nova Kakhovka, where they are kept by the Russians.
The central Ukrainian authorities, together with the head of Kherson, are clarifying all the circumstances and doing everything possible so that everyone who is now in captivity of the Russians returns home.
Recall, 21 March, the Russian military began firing at about peaceful protesters in the center of Kherson, simultaneously throwing grenades at Kherson residents. Local authorities also reported kidnapped activists, as well as those injured during explosions and shootings.
