Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine needs Unity Day, because in the face of possible threats, the nation must unite, and this is the key idea of today's holiday.
He said this during the evening telethon on February 16.
– This is a key day in our history, as Ukraine has been under tremendous information pressure for more than three months. In addition to armed aggression, hybrid influence on our state and economy, we have received long-term information pressure that there will supposedly be an attack and it is inevitable. In the face of possible threats, the nation must unite,” Shmyhal said.
He clarified that this is what calms us – when we understand that we are united in our intentions, that we have a strong army and we can defend our independence, land, traditions.
