In the Donetsk and Transcarpathian regions, seven people were poisoned by carbon monoxide. Six of them died, another person was hospitalized.
According to the State Emergency Service, this happened in Druzhkovka, Donetsk region, and Berehove in Transcarpathia.
In particular, on January 14, three people died in a private residential building in the city of Druzhkovka , including two children born in 2013 and 2016.
Another person was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. According to preliminary information, carbon monoxide poisoning occurred due to a malfunction of the stove heating.
On this day, also in a private residential building in the town of Beregovo, three people died for the same reason. Previously, rescuers found out that the gas water heater was faulty in the housing.
The rescue service noted that the units of the State Emergency Service did not involve. Rescuers urge citizens to eliminate all malfunctions of equipment in time, as this can save life and health.
