The Upper House of the Czech Parliament supported the abolition of humanitarian aid payments in the amount of 5,000 kroons ( 200 euros) for Ukrainian refugees.

This is reported by Czech Radio. The decision of the Czech authorities is directed against “subsidized tourism”. Forced migrants who receive free asylum, food and hygiene products from the Czech Republic will not be paid. The document has yet to be signed by Czech President Milos Zeman.

The state will check whether the refugees registered in the Czech Republic really live at the addresses they declared. Humanitarian aid will be provided at the place of permanent registration from the beginning of the second month of the refugees' stay in the Czech Republic.

Czech legislators have also changed the rules for placing Ukrainian refugees in hostels. Ukrainian refugees can be accommodated in temporary dormitories for no longer than 3 months, and in temporary premises such as sports halls and tent camps – no longer than one month. assistance in the amount of the subsistence minimum – 4250 crowns (170 euros) for an adult and 3050 crowns (122 euros) for a child.

Earlier, the Czech government has already decided that “temporary protection” for immigrants from Ukraine will not be provided to citizens who simultaneously have passports from other EU countries.
