A ship of the Romanian Navy almost blew up on a drifting mine in the Black Sea.

The ship was not damaged, as was the crew.

Reuters writes about this.

The incident occurred on September 8th. The Navy found out about the mine and sent a ship to clear it. Due to strong wind and waves, the ship stumbled upon a mine, and it exploded.

Recall that mines in the Black Sea began to float after the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the war, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine neutralized 28 mines in the western waters of the Black Sea.

The day before it became known that an anti-ship mine was washed up on the coast during a storm in the Odessa region.
