The authorities of the Russian region have purchased a thousand fire extinguishers, which will be given to residents of settlements bordering Ukraine.
In the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, the authorities proposed residents themselves must put out the fires that arise after Russian air defense attempts to destroy drones attacking strategic targets on the territory of the aggressor state. Fire extinguishers will be distributed to the villagers for this purpose.
This is reported by the Russian publication “Podem” with reference to a statement by the governor of this Russian region, Gladkov.
According to him, the special equipment of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations cannot always visit all objects where fires occur after air strikes.
Hoping that local residents themselves will be able to put out fires, the authorities of the Belgorod region purchased a thousand fire extinguishers, which will be distributed to residents of populated areas.
The authorities of other Russian regions also provided all possible assistance to the residents of the Belgorod region: 1,750 fire extinguishers were transferred from the Yaroslavl region, and another two thousand from the Samara region.
“We will distribute these fire extinguishers to homes, to those settlements that are located in close proximity along the border for prompt decision-making,” explained Vyacheslav Gladkov.
Recall that at the beginning of June 2024 it became known that over the past four months, Russian military aircraft dropped almost a hundred bombs on their own regions and the occupied territories of Ukraine.
