At home of an 80-year-old resident of Novosibirsk found a warehouse of weapons in shoe boxes
In Novosibirsk, a local resident accidentally found a warehouse of weapons in the apartment of her elderly relative. This was reported by NGS.ru with reference to a law enforcement source.
According to the newspaper, the Russian woman helped the 80-year-old pensioner to make repairs in the apartment. While dismantling the closet, the women found shoeboxes with pistols, handcuffs, cartridges and wires. They immediately reported the find to the police.
As the interlocutor of the publication specified, law enforcement officers seized and sent for examination a Makarov combat pistol, two 9-gauge gas pistols – Walther and ME-9RR, more than two hundred cartridges and 20 instant-action electric detonators.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of explosives or explosive devices”). Investigators detained and interrogated a relative of the pensioner. Later, the court released the man under house arrest for health reasons.
