In Switzerland, unemployed pilots will become train drivers
In Switzerland, airplane pilots will be able to become train drivers. This applies to those professionals who have been left without work due to the coronavirus pandemic. Euronews reports .
The Aeropers Pilots Association is confident that these professions are similar to each other. At the moment, there is a shortage of drivers in Switzerland, so special retraining courses have been organized for air pilots. An Aeropers spokesman said the Swiss example could inspire other countries.
One of the first pilots who decided to change their profession was Carlos Spruengli. In the near future he will enter one of the high-speed train lines as a driver. The man noted that the main thing in the retraining process is overcoming pride and the desire to continue working.
