In Switzerland, they came up with a biodegradable battery

In Switzerland, researchers at the Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa) have created a battery that, when disposed of, is environmentally friendly. Writes about this Semiconductor Digest.

The development is based on cellulose, gelatin, soot and other environmentally safe substances. The battery can be 3D printed in layers. There are four layers in total: flexible substrate, conductive layer, electrode, and electrolyte.

The developers suggest using these batteries for monitoring sensors and medical equipment.

Earlier, Russian scientists have created an inexpensive polymer to instantly stop blood. The development of Russian scientists, where the main active ingredient is iron oxide, is unique.
