At the Pushkin airfield, servicemen of the Leningrad Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Western Military District conducted a training session on the eve of Navy Day.
The crews of naval aviation took part in the “walking” rehearsal on July 17, and on July 25 they will take part in the Main Naval Parade.
The pilots lined up in parade formation according to the types of helicopters, maintaining distances and intervals as if they were in the air. They were guided by the flight diagram over St. Petersburg, which was drawn on the runway.
The second part of the training included working out the procedure for radio exchange with the head of the flight at the airfield control center. Also, the servicemen repeated the procedure in case of an emergency.
As “DP” reported earlier, 48 combat aircraft and helicopters of naval aviation will take part in the air part of the parade.
