The Slovak government has decided to introduce a curfew in the country due to the spread of the coronavirus. This was reported by the TA3 TV channel, TASS reports.
The curfew is introduced from March 3 and will be in effect from 20:00 to 01:00 local time. Leaving houses without good reason will also be prohibited from 05:00 to 20:00. When leaving home, residents of the country must have documents with them: for example, certificates from employers or identity cards indicating the place of residence.
In addition, from March 8, wearing FFP2 respirators will be mandatory in shops and public transport, and from March 15 – in any public place. The restriction does not apply to children who may continue to wear masks.
The new restrictions were approved after negotiations with scientists and epidemiologists, reports The Slovak Spectator. If these measures are not effective enough in the fight against infection by March 21, the country will prepare for a lockdown.
