The Russian State Duma plans to submit to a referendum an initiative to return the death penalty for serious crimes. This proposal is made by the LDPR party.
This is reported by the Russian edition of Interfax.
The party, headed by the odious politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky, may initiate a referendum on the return of the death penalty. A person can be executed, among other things, for terrorism, corruption, rape of children, murder in a perverted form.
The Kremlin politicians came to this decision after Russia was expelled from the Council of Europe. At the same time, they comment in the party, the Russian Federation “throws off the shackles of other people's values and rules.”
“One of them is the ban on the death penalty, which is applied everywhere outside the European Union,” the LDPR faction noted.
