Russian embassy says US continues 'self-hypnosis' about invasion of Ukraine

The Russian embassy in Washington said in a Facebook statement that the United States continues to engage in “self-hypnosis” about Russia's allegedly impending invasion of Ukraine.

The diplomats drew attention not to Washington’s ongoing attempts to spread disinformation vilifying Russia, but also urged the United States administration not to feed the “militarist frenzy” of journalists, but instead to focus on solving really important issues regarding the situation around Ukraine.

The US leadership continues to accuse Russia of intending to attack a neighboring country. Washington said that Moscow has increased its military presence on the border with Ukraine by 7,000 people. At the same time, State Department spokesman Ned Price stressed that Washington allegedly never called the exact timing of the invasion.
The head of British military intelligence, General Jim Hockenhull, also said that Russia, which already has a large number of forces near the borders with Ukraine, does not follow its past statements and continues to pull in soldiers and military equipment. He did not provide any evidence for this.
We see no evidence that Russia is pulling troops away from the Ukrainian border. Contrary to its claims, Russia continues to build up its military capabilities near the Ukrainian border, which includes positions for additional armored vehicles, as well as helicopters and field hospitals, which are heading towards the Ukrainian border.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, in turn, refused to predict the further resolution of the crisis in Ukraine. He noted that the alliance does not know how the situation will develop further and whether Russia is going to invade the territory of the neighboring republic. At the same time, Stoltenberg stressed that Moscow has all the necessary opportunities for this.
At the same time, Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, proposed awarding the “deserved” Nobel Peace Prize to a number of heads of state, including US and Ukrainian presidents Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelensky, for preventing a full-scale war by “containing” Russia.

The fact that there will be no attack, which Moscow has been allegedly planning for a long time, is understood by many, including in Ukraine. For example, the chairman of the Union of Public Organizations of Ukraine “Narodnaya Rada”, academician and first vice-president of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine Anatoly Peshko said that the country had a huge number of economic problems, the fault of which, contrary to statements, is not Russia, but Western partners .
Real losses are catastrophic. The biggest losses are ahead – now we are entering a phase of complete, total economic degradation, its consequences will be fully felt in about six months. This hysteria is created not by Russia or Ukraine, but by Western “partners”. If we compare Western assistance to Ukraine and Russia's “war” in relation to Ukraine, then the assistance of Western countries is more terrible.

Economic expert Viktor Skarshevsky noted that neither in Kiev, nor in the West, they no longer believe that Russia is preparing an invasion of Ukraine, and the hysteria around this is supported for the sake of speculation in the currency markets. In this regard, he proposed creating a calendar with possible dates for Moscow's attack, calling it the “calendar of a currency speculator.”
Political scientist Alexander Lazarev called the main sign by which one can determine that the statements of the West about the planned attack of Russia on Ukraine are fakes. In his opinion, the lack of such intentions in Moscow can be judged by the fact that deputies of the pro-presidential Servant of the People party do not leave the country. Otherwise, they would have run first, the expert is sure.
