Russian programmers from Perm presented their new project – special glasses that can track a person's gaze.

The development made its debut within the framework of the UMNIK competition, as a result of which the engineers managed to get not only a high assessment of their own work, but also a grant of half a million rubles, writes Moskovsky Komsomolets.

Glasses consist of a set of cameras and software that is responsible for all the necessary calculations. It is based on a neural network specially developed by the team.

So, with the help of algorithms embedded in the software, glasses record information about what exactly the person looked at, as well as in what sequence he did it and for what duration.

As an example of the area of application of technology, developers refer to marketing. With the help of human eye tracking, you can create the perfect packaging, logo or merchandise.
