Russia's representative in the Trilateral Contact Group, Boris Gryzlov, commented on the statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the “10 steps” initiative. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

In the opinion of the permanent representative of Russia, such statements are only an imitation of activity in the settlement of the conflict. Gryzlov noted that these steps were unofficially transferred to Russia two weeks ago, but Kiev has not sent them for consideration to the contact group.

In addition, the implementation of the first three steps depends solely on the will of the Ukrainian authorities, but they are constantly blocked by Kiev, he added. Gryzlov explained that they are talking about a truce, the opening of checkpoints and the release of detainees.

Earlier, the head of the faction of the pro-presidential party “Servant of the People” David Arakhamia said that Ukraine is considering two potential options for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass.

On December 21, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said that Ukraine had transferred to partners comprehensive initiatives to unblock the peace process in Donbass. The document contains 10 specific steps.
