In Russia over the past day, November 5, 41,335 cases of coronavirus were registered, this is the maximum number of patients in the entire pandemic. The last daily anti-record (40,993 people) was recorded on October 30.
This was reported by the telegram channel of the Moscow operational headquarters on the situation with the coronavirus.

It is noted that most of the new cases of infection were found in:
- Moscow – 6,880;
- St. Petersburg – 3,138;
- Moscow Region – 3,085.
In total to date, 8,755,930 cases of coronavirus have been detected in Russia in 85 regions. Over the entire period 245 635 deaths were recorded, 7 535 172 people recovered.
It should be noted that currently Russia is among the five countries with the highest rates COVID-19 infection and mortality in the world , behind the USA, India, Brazil and the UK.
- Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared non-working days in the country from October 30 to November 7 inclusive . The Russian government asked him to do so. The reason was the fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic .
- Moscow is also imposed new restrictions due to the increased incidence of COVID-19, which will be in effect from October 25, 2021 until February 25, 2022.
