The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation has put the head of the Main Directorate on the wanted list Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov.
The relevant information appeared in the department’s database, reports Meduza.
In Budanov’s card, the Russians did not indicate in which specific criminal case he was put on the wanted list .
Previously, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced in early October that it had brought charges in absentia of committing “terrorist acts against four Ukrainian military leaders, including Kirill Budanov.” The Investigative Committee considers them “involved in drone attacks on Russian targets.”
The publication recalled that the Russian Investigative Committee opened criminal cases against many Ukrainian officials, businessmen and military personnel. Russian courts arrest defendants in so-called cases in absentia and put them on the wanted list.
As previously reported, Russia has accused Budanov and other military leaders of terrorism.
