Over the past day, 25,704 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Russia. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of cases has reached 5,907,999, according to the COVID-19 Operational Headquarters.
New cases of infection were recorded in all 85 regions of the country, while in 2,951 patients (11.5%), the disease proceeded without clinical manifestations. The largest number of cases was recorded in Moscow, where 5,382 people were infected per day. In second place in terms of the number of new infections is the Moscow region, in which 2,484 cases were registered, St. Petersburg is in third place – 1,949 people fell ill there.
Also, over the past day, 799 people have died from coronavirus in Russia. Over the entire period of the pandemic, 146,868 patients died in the country. After recovery, 21,932 patients were discharged, the total number of recovered reached 5,300,908.
Recall, the day before, 25,293 cases of COVID-19 infection were detected in Russia, 791 patients died from the disease.
