Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: migrants in the Russian Federation from December 29 will receive cards with a chip containing fingerprints

In Russia, labor migrants from December 29 will be issued patents for work in the form of a card with a chip containing an electronic image of the face and fingerprints. This is reported by TASS with reference to an order signed by the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
“To approve the form of a patent issued to a foreign citizen or stateless person who arrived in the Russian Federation in a manner that does not require a visa, in the form of a card with an electronic data carrier. This order comes into force on December 29, 2021, ”the document says.
The card will have a size of 8.5 by 5.3 centimeters, on the front side will be placed a photo, series and patent number, last name, first name and patronymic of its owner. Also, the date of birth, citizenship, series and number of the identity document, profession and TIN will be displayed there. On the other side – the name of the subject of the Russian Federation, in the territory of which its owner works, by whom and when the document was issued.
Earlier, the head of the Moscow Construction Department, Rafik Zagrutdinov, said that the development of a program to increase labor productivity at Moscow construction sites would be completed in the first quarter of 2022. According to him, this will lead to a reduction in the number of migrants at construction sites.
