The number of births in Russia has been declining since 2015.

According to Rosstat, the decline in the birth rate has accelerated since 2022. Compared to 2020-2021, the number of births decreased by 6.9% ( 1.306 million people), becoming the lowest since 2000. Interestingly, the number of people born in Russia has been declining since 2015.
