Fragments of a drone were discovered on Romanian territory July 25 after another Russian attack on Ukraine. The Romanian authorities have informed the allies about this and are coordinating their actions with them on this issue.
The head of the Romanian Foreign Ministry, Luminita Odobescu, reported this on the Internet.
“Even more horrific attacks have been carried out by Russia against Ukrainian civilian infrastructure. Detritus discovered on Romanian territory. We have reported and are coordinating with our allies on this issue “Romania strongly condemns these irresponsible actions,” the minister said in a statement.
At the same time, the country’s Ministry of Defense reported that in connection with the Russian drone attack on civilian targets and port infrastructure of Ukraine near the border with Romania, “The Ministry of National Defense has strengthened control and surveillance of the country's airspace with forces and means of the air police combat service.” .
It is noted that to monitor the air situation at 1:32, two F-18 fighters took off from the air base 57 Mikhail Kogelniceanu . The planes returned to the base around 3:25 am.

In addition, the Romanian National Military Command Center informed the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations that alarm measures have been established for the population of the city of Tulcea. Now Ministry of Defense workers are searching the ground for objects that could have fallen onto Romanian territory as a result of Russian attacks on the port infrastructure of Ukraine over the past two nights.
As noted by the Ministry of Defense, in the first of three areas of possible destruction, namely in the Plaura area, fragments of a Geranium-type drone 1/2 of Russian origin were discovered. < /strong>
“The search will continue today to cover the entire territory. We would like to emphasize that all places indicated as possible affected areas are located outside populated areas and do not affect any elements of infrastructure,” the Romanian said defense department.
They added that they inform allied structures in real time about the situation resulting from the attacks, maintaining constant contact with them.
Also, the Romanian Ministry of Defense stated that strongly condemns these Russian attacks against Ukrainian civilian facilities and infrastructure.
Recall that during the Russian attack on Ukraine on the night of July 25, air defense forces shot down 25 drones, and three more drones were “locally lost after crossing the state border with Romania.” At the same time, an alarm was declared in this neighboring country – for the second time in the last two days.
