Investigators are considering two versions of the accident: a gust of wind or human error.

On Friday, May 17, at the Buzeu airfield , 110 km from the Romanian capital Bucharest, the flying club's plane overturned during landing immediately after military exercises with paratroopers.

This is reported by the Romanian TV channel StirileProTV.

According to preliminary information, during landing the AN-2 aircraft tilted, its front rotor hit the ground, which led to destabilization. The pilot and co-pilot were able to eject, no one was injured.

Crews of the Romanian flying club and specialists from the Bobocu military airbase arrived at the scene.

Investigators are considering two versions of the accident: a gust of wind or pilot error.

“The plane did not crash, the problem arose during landing. No one was injured, there were two people on board. What happened is unknown, it will become known after the investigation. The incident occurred after the landing of paratroopers. In such cases, an aeronautical investigation is always carried out,” Dan Chiriac, a representative of the Romanian Aero Club, commented on the incident.

The publication noted that the plane that crashed was built back in the 1970s. The Ministry of National Defense rented it for military exercises.

Recall that last year at the Stefan cel Mare airport in the Romanian city of Suceava, two low-cost Wizz Air planes collided on the runway.
