In Romania, a bear attacked two Ukrainian tourists

The incident happened near the former residence of the Romanian kings in the Carpathians.

Near the Peles castle, not far from the Romanian city of Sinai, a couple of Ukrainian tourists were attacked by a female bear, who was frightened by explosions of firecrackers.

This was reported by the local newspaper Prahova.

As it turned out, a 32-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, who came from Ukraine, in the late evening we were in the company of people who entertained themselves by launching firecrackers near the Peles castle in the Carpathians, which is a famous tourist attraction – the former residence of the Romanian kings.

The explosions attracted the attention of a bear, who decided to protect her cub and ran along direction to Ukrainian tourists. Running away from the beast, the couple was forced to climb over a fence with barbed wire. They had to be hospitalized with scratches on their hands and feet.

The mayor of the city of Sinai, Vlad Oprya, said that the territory where the bear was seen was fenced off around the perimeter with warning tapes, and local residents were warned of the danger. They are going to catch and move the she-bear to a deserted area, and her cub to a specialized animal welfare center.

Recall that earlier in the US state of California, a bear entered a supermarket, using an antiseptic at the entrance.
