The SBU detained in Rivne an agent of the Russian FSB, who was collecting coordinates of military and critical facilities for the enemy to plan missile and drone attacks.

The traitor drove around the city in his own car and recorded possible locations of potential targets, in particular military hospitals, on his mobile phone camera.
But the SBU learned about his plans in advance, which made it possible to secure the locations of the Defense Forces and detain the defendant when he was conducting additional reconnaissance near Ukrainian defenders.

In his car they found a gadget with which he secretly filmed military sites.
The Russian agent turned out to be a native of Crimea, who had been living in Rivne for a long time, where he was engaged in international transportation of commercial goods.
Before the full-scale Russian invasion, he regularly visited relatives on the temporarily occupied peninsula. During one of these trips, he was recruited by an employee of the local FSB department.
After February 24, 2022, he began active intelligence activities in favor of the Russian Federation. In addition to pointing Russian missiles at the territory of the Rivne region, the Russian agent monitored the movement of military convoys with heavy equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the highways of the western region.

The detainee was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 Criminal Code (high treason committed under martial law).
He is now in custody and faces life imprisonment.
