The Pyaterochka retail chain has launched robot testing in Kazan. He rides around the store, driving around customers and staff, and checks the price tags for correctness.
This robotic complex “Pyaterochka” was developed together with NPO “Android technology”. The robot is able to build a map of the store itself, move between shelves, avoid obstacles and scan counters. The system recognizes goods and price tags. The robot can “see” if there are empty spaces on the shelves, if the prices of the products are correct. He transfers all data to the server for further processing, and the store employees then receive a report.
This innovation has reduced the burden on staff and increased the speed of correcting errors in price tags. In the future, Pyaterochka wants to launch a merchandiser robot that will be able to lay out the goods on its own.
