The incident was reported by one of the city council deputies, whose name was not disclosed.
In turn, residents of a high-rise building in the Shevchenko district of the city complained about loud crying from their neighbors' apartment.

Immediately after the appeal, the juvenile policemen of Poltava arrived at the scene.
In the indicated apartment, they found a one and a half year old child surrounded by strangers, who drank alcohol and did not react in any way to the girl's cry.
It turned out that the 32-year-old mother left her daughter with her drinking companions, and she went on business. According to preliminary information, a woman could go to the store for another portion of alcohol.

After what they saw, the law enforcement officers drew up an administrative protocol on the mother under Part 2 of Article 184 (Non-performance of parental duties) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

While the issue of depriving the mother of parental rights is being resolved, the girl will be in the Children's Clinical Hospital of Poltava.
