< p>The Deputy Minister announced that he would also campaign for restrictions on the import of Ukrainian sugar.
In Poland they want to introduce 8% VAT on Ukrainian butter and restrictions on the import of sugar from Ukraine.
This is stated in Polskie Radio with reference to information from the Deputy Polish Minister of Agriculture Michal Kolodziejczak.
He said that he will petition for a minimum 8% VAT on Ukrainian butter and to limit the import of sugar into Poland this week.
According to him, the ministry is analyzing what is happening.
“The Ministry of Agriculture did not have a corresponding unit that would analyze on an ongoing basis how many and what goods arrived in Poland. Today we analyze this once a week, complete data is received, for example, how many frozen raspberries arrived this year,” Kolodziejczak said.
According to him, several hundred tons of frozen raspberries have already arrived from Ukraine this year. The invoice price of frozen raspberries is 1 euro 15 cents, which is less than 5 zlotys.
“In Poland, it is not profitable to grow raw vegetables for that amount of money. I don’t agree to this, we are building Polish production and limiting imports,” noted the deputy minister.
He added that he plans to petition for the introduction of at least 8% VAT on oil that may come from Ukraine to Poland.
“Why should it be a 0% rate, intended for Polish producers and Polish consumers, in order for production here to be profitable?” Kolodiejczak said.
The Deputy Minister assured that, most likely, this week he will petition for the introduction of restrictions on the import of sugar into Poland.
Let us remind you that a popular vegetable is rapidly becoming more expensive in Ukraine. TSN.ua has already investigated the reasons for the rise in prices in the supermarket and on the market.
