The Polish Prime Minister said that arms supplies for Ukraine will begin next week

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki called the start date of the supply of Polish weapons for the Ukrainian army. According to him, quoted by TASS, deliveries will begin next week.
“We are transferring defensive weapons to Ukraine. Several tens of thousands of artillery shells, we also hand over mortars and grenade launchers. The first transport will leave our eastern border next week,” the prime minister said.
The decision of the Polish government to provide military assistance to Ukraine became known on February 1. Later, Moravetsky clarified the types of weapons that will soon be sent to the Ukrainian military. According to him, Poland will send Grom MANPADS, reconnaissance drones, mortars and anti-aircraft ammunition.
On February 3, former Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that Russia was not ready to attack Ukraine. He noted that, according to the Polish military, Russian troops are not put on alert, “although they are concentrated near the borders with Ukraine.”
