Gazeta Wyborcza: Russia will get a monopoly on the Nord Stream-2 during frosts in the European Union

The Russian company Gazprom may get a monopoly on the use of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline. This was written by a journalist from Poland Andrzej Kublik in an article for Gazeta Wyborcza.
Kublik noted that the situation with gas in Europe is aggravated because there are no fuel reserves in storage facilities in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. “If this happens, it will be difficult for European companies to cope with a sharp jump in demand, as a result there will be a shortage of raw materials,” he stressed.
According to the journalist, Russia will try to use the “sudden crisis” in the European energy market “for its own purposes.” He called the condition for the launch of the Nord Stream-2: he believes that this will happen during frosts in the European Union.
“One of them is that Gazprom, contrary to the requirements of European legislation, should be granted a monopoly right to use the new Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline,” Kublik stressed.
Earlier in Germany, a condition was called for the resumption of certification of Nord Stream-2. The representative of the Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection of Germany, Beate Baron, stressed that appropriate documents are needed to return to the procedure.
