Local authorities did not approve of the carriers' initiative.
The mayor of the Polish commune Dorogusk, Wojciech Sawa, did not allow carriers to block the Jagodin checkpoint Dorogusk” on the border with Ukraine.
This is reported by the Polish publication RMF24.
Wojciech Sawa referred to a legislative reason, namely a threat to property on a significant scale, in particular, financial losses of entrepreneurs.
The Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint was unblocked on December 11, but already on the 13th, protesters announced their intention to again close the entrance to the border to trucks. Thus, the organizer of the last strike submitted a new application for a repeated protest action from December 18.
However, local authorities did not approve of the carriers' initiative. In particular, Mayor Dorogussky forbade the restoration of the blockade.
Polish drivers intend to go to court, and will also submit new applications for protests in several places on December 14.
They have seven days to appeal the mayor's decision.
Despite the fact that Yagodin-Dorogusk is unblocked, it takes more than a day for the entire line of trucks to pass.
