In Poland, a Ukrainian woman transporting diamonds was detained at the airport. The woman wanted to hide the presence of precious stones worth 1.5 million zlotys.

According to the service, the woman came from Armenia, precious stones were in her hand luggage.
“Customs and Fiscal Service (CFS) employees from the passenger customs office in Warsaw sent the traveler from the “do not report anything” checkpoint for inspection. The Ukrainian citizen arrived from Armenia and was supposed to continue her journey to Belgium,” – says on the government website.
However, due to an attempt to hide the diamonds, she was not was allowed on the plane, and she prematurely ended her journey at Warsaw airport. Chopin. There she was detained by law enforcement officers.
During a search, diamonds were found in her hand luggage. They weighed almost 670 carats, or 134 grams.
As stated in the report, the woman presented to the law enforcement officers invoices confirming the purchase of jewelry.
“The value of the seized gemstones is estimated at more than 1.5 million zlotys. If the stones were sold, the loss to the state budget would be more than 350,000 zlotys,” the message says.
