A young Ukrainian woman gave birth to a child in a workers' hostel.
The body of a newborn baby was found in a garbage dump at a bus stop in the city of Brzeziny. It was discovered by a passenger waiting for the bus. According to the Minsk-Mazowiecki District Prosecutor's Office, an 18-year-old Ukrainian woman gave birth to a child in a workers' hostel, where the child suffered a hemorrhage. After the birth, the woman wrapped the child in a plastic bag and threw it in the trash.

The police detained not only the mother, but also three of her relatives: a sister, a boyfriend, and a cousin, all under 20 years old. They are suspected of obstructing the investigation by washing away traces of blood and cleaning the mattress. All detainees are prohibited from leaving the country.

The child's mother claims that she did not know about her pregnancy. Forensic experts have not yet determined the cause of the newborn's death, but do not rule out possible factors such as asphyxia, bleeding or a cold. The woman was charged with infanticide, but the classification of the act may change after a psychiatric examination.
