In the city of Pervomaisk, Nikolaev region, vandals damaged the monument to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred . The incident took place in the city center – near a public transport stop on Hrushevsky Street.
The head of the Housing and Communal Services of Pervomaisk reported this to the police.
Unknown not only damaged the monument, but left inscriptions on the memorial .
Militiamen opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code Hooliganism . This crime is punishable by a fine from 500 to 1 thousand non-taxable minimums (from 8.5 to 17 thousand UAH), or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of liberty for up to five years .
The police are conducting first-priority investigative actions in order to establish and punish the persons who damaged the monument to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
The Pervomaisk police asks citizens who have information about this event and the perpetrators to report this to the district department .
In October, in the city of Vasilkov, Kiev region, vandals damaged the monument to the victims of the Holocaust. The police noticed this while monitoring the Internet.
