In Peru, shamans held a ceremony to “cleanse” the negativity of international relations
In Peru, shamans and healers performed the traditional rite of attracting health and good luck in the New Year. In the ceremony, they used portraits of world leaders – Russian President Vladimir Putin, his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky and American leader Joe Baden. The video of the ritual was published on the YouTube channel of the Italian newspaper La República.
Shaman Felix Rondan told SWI that he and his colleagues asked nature to declare 2022 the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. For this, participants in the ceremony drew a circle on the ground with the number 2022 with seeds and petals, in which they put all their offerings, such as coca leaves. They also poured a fermented corn-based chicha drink on the altar.
In addition, the shamans held a ceremony to “cleanse” the negativity of international relations. They especially tried to get rid of the tension between Russia and Ukraine. To do this, healers poured an infusion of photographs of Putin, Zelensky and Biden, in which they see the key to solving the problem of relations between countries.
“This will be a very auspicious year for all countries. There will be very good health progress and conflicts will subside. There will be peace, tranquility and good health for all, ”predicted the healer Andres De los Santos.
This is not the first time shamans have held ceremonies to mend relations between countries. In 2017, they prayed for peace in Venezuela and for the prevention of conflict between the United States and the DPRK.
