In the center of Paris, a man armed with a knife took two women hostage. This was announced on Twitter by the French police.
According to the police, the offender is about 50 years old and suffers from a mental disorder. He demands a personal meeting with the Minister of Justice of France, Eric Dupont-Moretti. At the moment, the crime scene is cordoned off by police special forces.
Both women are held captive in a shop located on rue Aligre in the Bastille district. The age of the hostages was “from 30 to 40 years.” According to the police, this is not a terrorist act.
In September, an armed man in southern Germany took three passengers on a tourist bus hostage. The police said that the offender was arrested, no one was injured during the operation.
