Russian invaders continue to shell Mykolaiv. On May 8, as a result of enemy shelling, 1 civilian was killed and 3 more people were injured.
The mayor of Nikolaev Alexander Senkevich told about it, channel 24 reports. He also said that the shelling left several settlements without gas.

Sienkiewicz noted that the ongoing war has forever changed the attitude to Victory Day. There will never be “victory talk” marches in Nikolaev, because these days are days of memory.
Residential areas are shelled in Nikolaev. Over the past day, one person died and three were injured. Since February 24, 95 people have died in Nikolaev, one of them is a child. 412 were injured, including four children, added the mayor.
He noted that pyrotechnicians are currently working on the ground. The mayor urged local residents not to touch the shells and not to take them home.

Sienkiewicz noted that the city system was gradually filled with water. Water has already begun to appear in different districts of Nikolaev.
“Tomorrow or after tomorrow it will appear in all houses, on all floors. Water is technical. Gradually we will switch to water from wells and will desalinate this water,” – added the mayor.
In turn, there are no problems with power supply in the city , however, 16 villages are still without electricity. Electricity is partially absent in:
- Shevchenkovskiy,
- Luparevo,
- Limanakh.
Sienkiewicz noted that power surge problems continue due to damage to high-voltage lines. According to him, in the city everything is also good with gas supply . However, as a result of shelling, more than 2 thousand subscribers have no gas in:
- Pervomaisky,
- Novoselovtsy,
- Dominance,
- Novonikolayevtsy,
- Snegurovka.
The mayor noted that about 90% of elevators also work in Nikolaev. In total, there are 2,185 of them in the city, of which more than 1900 work.
