In New York, they accidentally found a little girl who disappeared back in 2019. Four-year-old Paisley Shultis was found in a small room under the stairs leading to the basement of her biological parents, who were deprived of their rights to the child.
On February 14, the police received a search warrant and a certificate of the alleged whereabouts of the girl, who was wanted by her legal guardian.
One of the detectives during the searches noticed that a piece of fabric resembling a blanket was visible on the stairs.
At his request, the investigators used tools to remove several wooden steps: that's when they saw the girl's tiny feet.
“The room was small, cold and damp,” the detectives told reporters.
Fortunately, nothing happened to four-year-old Paisley Shultis, according to the preliminary findings of doctors.
Her health is normal and the child has already been returned to the legal guardian. In the near future, the court will decide the fate of the kidnappers of the girl.
