In Myanmar, villagers help elephants out of a deep hole
We extended a help line. In western Myanmar, residents of a small village rescued wild elephants that fell into a mud hole, MIR 24 reports.
The almost vertical clay walls of the deep ravine did not allow the animals to get out. The elephants climbing upward kept falling down.
People came to the rescue. They dug a kind of ramp all day, and later surrounded it with branches. As a result, four giants got out into the wild. Interestingly, one of the names of Myanmar is the Land of Nine Elephants.
