After the announcement of new iPhones, enterprising residents of Moscow traditionally began to trade in places in line for the coveted novelties. On Avito's ad service, Russians ask for up to 140,000 rubles for queuing for an iPhone 13 for three nights. The price of the most expensive gadget, the iPhone 13 Pro Max, starts at 109,990 rubles.

Ren-TV drew attention to the appearance of announcements. “I'll stay in line for a new iPhone 13. 09/21 – 140,000 (overnight), 09/22 – 110,000 (overnight), 09/23 – 80,000 (overnight),” one of them says.

Selling new iPhones in Russia will begin on 24 September. Thus, the author of the ad is ready to stand in line for three days – from September 21 to the start of sales – for 140,000 rubles.

Another user offered to take a queue “only” for 40,000 rubles a day. For three days, the package of his services will cost 120,000 rubles. There are also cheaper options – some have named a price tag of 10,000 rubles per day in line.

Apple presented the updated line of iPhones on September 14. Pre-orders for the new iPhones will open on September 22nd. The cost of gadgets in Russia:

iPhone 13 mini – from 69,990 rubles; iPhone 13 – from 79,990 rubles; iPhone 13 Pro – from 99,990 rubles; iPhone 13 Pro Max – from 109,990 rubles.

There is no fundamentally new in the lineup, experts said. Among the innovations is the six-core Apple A15 Bionic processor, a 20% shorter bangs, an improved OLED screen on some models, new wide-angle cameras and the ability to shoot from a distance of 2 cm.

In anticipation of the Apple presentation, Russians began to get rid of their old gadgets. According to Avito, compared to the first week of autumn 2020, there are 3.6 times more advertisements for the sale of obsolete iPhone models.

IPhone users changed their habit of lining up in long lines only in the pandemic 2020. Then, after the start of sales, not a single person was on duty near the equipment store on Tverskaya, and by morning only a dozen citizens crowded at the entrance. Despite this, the places in the queue were still sold: in St. Petersburg prices started at 7,000 rubles, in Moscow – from 9,900 rubles. For places at the beginning of the queue in both cities they asked for about 100,000 rubles. In 2019, when the iPhone 11 was released, the price for a place in the line at a store on Tverskaya could reach half a million rubles.
