Due to threats in Montenegro, the “March of Unity” in support of Ukraine, which was supposed to take place on February 19, was postponed.

The consul of Ukraine in this state, Mikhail Shmatov, spoke about this on Facebook.

“Since the publication of information about the march of support and solidarity with Ukraine in Montenegro, a large number of unacceptable comments and threats have been received with information about possible provocations,” the diplomat said.

That is why the organizers, in order to avoid provocations, after consultations with the Podgorica police, decided to postpone the event. The new date will be announced after the execution of the relevant permits from the Montenegrin authorities.

It should be noted that after the Ukrainians of Montenegro declared their desire to hold a march, the Russian Embassy in Montenegro asked the country's Foreign Ministry to strengthen security allegedly “in case of provocations.”
