In the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), they reported a massive shelling of the village of Nikolaevka by the Ukrainian side. At the same time, they are transmitting from Luhansk about interruptions in electricity, communications and the Internet, Marochko Live reported on the Telegram channel.

According to the People's Militia of the LPR, the armed formations of Ukraine opened fire on Nikolaevka with 120 mm mines. Due to the shelling, residential buildings, power lines and a gas pipeline were damaged. About 500 people were left without electricity.

There were no casualties among the civilian population, but many houses had windows broken, and people were knocked down by the blast wave, according to eyewitnesses of the shelling. “How we survived, I don’t know,” said one of the women in Nikolayevka.

Armed escalation in Donbass began on February 17. The shelling from both sides continued the next day – reports of fired mines were transmitted from the morning of February 18 from several sections of the line of contact at once.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky personally arrived at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and examined samples of the latest weapons supplied by NATO countries to the APU.
