In the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), vaccination against coronavirus with the Russian drug Sputnik V has begun. This is reported by “Interfax” with reference to the adviser to the head of the LPR Rodion Miroshnik.
According to him, the first batch of vaccine arrived in Lugansk on February 1. “Further deliveries will be carried out on a regular basis,” Miroshnik said. He explained that first of all, employees of hospitals and emergency services, whose work involves contact with many people, will receive vaccinations.
In the future, this list will be expanded. It is noted that vaccination will be carried out free of charge and on a regular basis.
On February 1, the authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) also announced the start of vaccination against coronavirus. The immunization campaign for residents of the rest of Ukraine has not yet begun. The country's authorities said that they plan to vaccinate their citizens living in the DPR or LPR only if they are located in the territory controlled by Kiev.
