The woman admitted that she received a Russian passport in early 2022, but did not notify the migration service about this and did not have the right to dual citizenship. Based on these data, the Migration Department began the procedure of depriving her of Lithuanian citizenship. After the corresponding order was signed by the Minister of Internal Affairs Agne Bilotaite, the woman was immediately fired.

She worked at the Migration Department for just over a year without disciplinary action. Currently, an administrative case has been opened against her, and she faces a fine of 300 to 850 euros.
