In Krasnodar in the Russian Federation, local residents blocked one of the streets in the north of the city, demanding that the authorities restore the supply of electricity and water.
Residents of Russian Krasnodar went to a rally. They demanded that the supply of water and electricity be restored.
This is reported by the Russian editorial office of Radio Liberty.
Several hundred protesters blocked one of the streets in the north of the city. Protesters demanded that electricity and water be restored.
They complain that during the summer their lights were turned off, first once a week, then three. Now houses have no electricity for 12-15 hours a day.
To calm the protesters, the mayor of the city, Evgeny Naumov, and police officers and the National Guard arrived at the scene. Local authorities promised to ensure supplies of technical water. But there were some arrests – two people were tied up.
It is noted that shutdowns are also being carried out in other regions in southern Russia, the North Caucasus and annexed Crimea. Among the reasons that led to the peak in consumption and outages in the Russian Federation are the heat, the peak of the tourist season and the connection to the energy system of the territories of Ukraine captured by Russian troops.
Let us recall that earlier in the Russian Rostov-on-Don and the region introduced a blackout. Russians complained that neither traffic lights nor air conditioning worked in the city.
