Journalist Portnikov: Putin is the president of Ukraine for many citizens, not Zelensky

The real president of Ukraine is Vladimir Putin, not Vladimir Zelensky, Ukrainian journalist Vitaly Portnikov said on the air of the NTA TV channel. He is quoted by RIA Novosti.
“While Ukrainians and Russians are crying over the same series, the president of Ukraine is undoubtedly Vladimir Putin, not Volodymyr Zelenskyy. At least for a huge number of Ukrainians, ”Portnikov said.
In his opinion, Ukrainians and Russians did not become different peoples, despite the statements of Kiev. Because of this, as the journalist points out, Ukraine may lose, if not the entire territory, then a significant part of it, for example, the Kharkov or Sumy regions.
One of the examples of the unity of Russians and Ukrainians Portnikov called love for the TV series “Matchmakers”.
In early December, the journalist said that Zelensky's talks about a meeting with Putin “to the applause of distraught fans” is a direct path to further destabilization of the state. Portnikov considered that there was no point in direct negotiations between the leaders of the two countries, since Putin did not plan to discuss Crimea and Donbass with Zelensky.
