In Kiev, a foreigner robbed coffee shops: a man can go to prison for six years

In Kiev, a 26-year-old foreigner committed three thefts. The man made a bail, but after a while he again robbed two coffee shops located in the Shevchenko district of the capital.

According to the National Police, one of the episodes took place on Salyutnaya Street in the city. The intruder got inside the cafe, having pushed out the front metal-plastic door. A foreigner stole a box and 100 UAH from an institution.

The second episode took place on Tupolev Street. The man entered another cafe, found UAH 347 in the cash register. The employees of the establishment noticed this and called the police.

Investigators announced suspicion to the 26-year-old foreigner. Currently, the pre-trial investigation has been completed, and the indictment with the materials of criminal proceedings has been sent to the court for consideration of the case.

He will be tried under Article 15 (Attempted Criminal Offense), Article 162 (Violation of the inviolability of home) and Article 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The offender could face up to six years in prison.
